Personal Data Protection Notice (KVKK)

This notice is provided under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”). The data controller is Turkish Offshore Wind Energy Association (DÜRED / TOWEA), Kızılcaşar Mah., İncek Yolu No: 406, İncek Vista Ofis D:133, Gölbaşı / Ankara, Türkiye (info@dured.org).

Data we process

Identity and contact data (name, organisation, title, email, phone) from contact, membership and event forms; membership records; event participation data and event photos/videos; and security data such as IP address and timestamps.

Purposes and legal grounds

We process data to answer requests, run membership and events, meet obligations under the Associations Law, keep the website secure and — only with your explicit consent — send newsletters and publish event imagery. Legal grounds: performance of a contract, legal obligation, establishment/protection of rights and legitimate interest (KVKK Art. 5/2) or explicit consent (Art. 5/1).

Transfers

Data may be shared with competent authorities and with service providers (hosting, email, event organisation). The membership pre-application form uses Google Forms, which involves transfer abroad under KVKK Art. 9 on the basis of appropriate safeguards or your explicit consent.

Retention

Data is kept for as long as required for the purpose and applicable limitation periods, then deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights (Art. 11)

You may request information about processing, correction, deletion or destruction, notification to third parties, object to automated decisions and claim compensation. Send requests to info@dured.org or by post to the address above; we respond within 30 days free of charge.
